Although used as a refrigerant at sea in a small number of installations,and carried as a cargo on specialist tankers, most crew are not aware of the properties, dangers, and safeguards needed when carrying methanol as a fuel.


The aim of this title is to familiarise the learners with the properties of methanol and the precautions needed when carrying methanol as a fuel.
